Persistify (“Persistify”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) operates the Persistify web and mobile applications, providing accountability, spaced repetition, study partner matching, and consistency tools for competitive examination aspirants (including NEET, JEE, UPSC, CA, CAT, and state exams).

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000, Persistify acts as the Data Fiduciary responsible for determining the purposes and means of processing your personal data.

6Third Parties & Subprocessors

We do not sell student data. We engage only trusted, ISO 27001 and SOC 2 certified subprocessors to deliver core platform services:

  • Cloud Infrastructure: AWS Asia Pacific (Mumbai) & Cloudflare for secure compute and database hosting within Indian territorial boundaries.
  • Payment Aggregators: RBI-licensed partners (e.g., Razorpay, Cashfree, PNB UPI) for deposit collection and wallet refunds.
  • Transactional Notifications: SMS / WhatsApp OTP gateways solely for authentication codes and study partner alerts.

7Data Retention & Right to Erasure

We store your study records and consistency history as long as your account remains active. If you choose to delete your account:

  • Your profile details, study partner linkages, and telemetry logs are permanently deleted within 14 business days.
  • Financial transaction summaries are retained strictly for the duration mandated by Indian taxation and banking laws (typically 5–7 years).
  • You can initiate account erasure directly from the app settings or by writing to privacy@persistify.in.

8Your Rights as an Aspirant (Data Principal)

Under the DPDP Act 2023, you enjoy statutory rights regarding your personal information:

Request a structured summary of all study data, session logs, and fines on your record.

Right to Correction & Update:

Rectify incomplete, inaccurate, or outdated exam goals and contact information.

Right to Consent Withdrawal:

Revoke permissions for peer study matching or optional notifications anytime.

Direct access to our dedicated Data Protection Officer for prompt resolution.

9Protection of Minor Aspirants (< 18 Years)

Many NEET and JEE aspirants are below 18 years of age. In compliance with Section 9 of the DPDP Act 2023:

  • We do not undertake targeted advertising or behavioral tracking of minors.
  • We do not process any data likely to cause harm to a student's physical or mental well-being.
  • Parental or guardian supervision is encouraged for commitment pledges and study routines.
